God is perfect (Mt 5:48). God’s character was revealed to the world through Jesus Christ. The Bible tells us about God’s character so that we can take part in the divine character (2 Pet 1:4). The following are examples of God’s character. God is: - Holy (1 Pet 1:15; Lev 19:2)

- Peace (2 Cor 13:11; Isa 9:6)
- Patient (Neh 9:30; 2 Pet 3:9)
- Merciful (Rom 9:15; Joel 2:13)
- A jealous God (Deut 4:24; Heb 12:29)
- Hateful of sins (Prov 6:16–19; Heb 1:9)
- Majestic (Ps 93:1; Isa 26:10)
