What's the difference between the Trinity and Oneness?

Trinitarians recognize that God is one. But they believe the Godhead consists of three distinct, eternal coequal persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. The three persons are the same in substance, but distinct in subsistence. The Oneness of God means that the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit are one God and one Spirit, not three "persons."
