1. The
lands for the nine and a half tribes (1-5).

The men who shall divide the land, Eleazar the priest, the leader Joshua and the princes of
every tribe (Num 34:16-29).

The tribe of Joseph received two parts whereas
the Levites were not given any land.

The land occupied by Caleb.

He asked for the land according to promise.

According to the promise of God through Moses,
He asked Joshua for the land. Joshua blessed him and gave him Hebron
(13).
(b)
The promise of God is real (2 Cor 1:20; Heb 10:19-25, 35-39).

He followed the Lord faithfully (2, 9, 14; Num
32:11, 12).
(a)
The peoples followed the Lord sometimes only.
(b)
Caleb followed the Lord faithfully until the
end.
c.
He was strong as before (10, 11).
(a)
Fighting in the battles for forty-five years
both to go out and to come in strength, he never changed.
(b)
Firm in faith, strong in spirituality (1 Tim
4:12-15; Phil 1:9-11).
d.
Strongly believe in victory (12; Num 13:34; Josh
15:13-15).
(a)
Confident to conquer the great and fenced city.
(b)
Believe in the abidance of the Lord and that the
enemy would be driven out and they shall occupied the most beautiful land.

The characteristic of Hebron—the
most beautiful land.
a.
The land Abraham dwelled and built altars (Gen
13:18).

God appeared to Abraham many times (Gen 18).

The only possession of Abraham in Canaan
when he was alive (Gen 23:19).
