EDITORS' PREFACE

Thanks to God's guidance, Living Water is being published as planned.  We deeply appreciate the efforts of the brothers and sisters involved in this project; more importantly, may God remember their labors.  This issue contains six articles and four testimonies.

The article "The Steward" expounds upon how believers should act in order to avoid squandering God's grace.  "Faith and Works" elaborates upon the relationship between two essential Biblical principles.  Every one must use his eyes to perceive objects and discern paths; only in this way can one steer clear of the incorrect road.  In departing from evil, pursuing good, and walking in the path of eternity, we must rely on our spiritual eyes.  "Open Their Eyes" is an in-depth analysis of this topic.  John the Baptist was Christ's forerunner and witness.  From his speech and acts, we can reach a better understanding of ourselves.  What are the requirements of the TrueChurch?  What are the duties of the members?  "To know the TrueChurch and the Members' Duty" addresses these questions.  God formed Eve out of Adam's rib, establishing the matrimonial system.  "it is Not Good for Man to be Alone" clearly outlines how to build up an ideal relationship between husband and wife.

Brother Wang was raised in a family of idol-worshippers.  Through the great love of God, he was converted.  Moreover, in his daily life he has abundantly received the guidance and protection of God.  Brother Chin of the Edinburgh church, after being touched by a lesson about Jesus' crucifixion, himself experienced the agony of being nailed.  Furthermore, he was brought to heaven, which was filled with glorious fight.  Brother Jeng described how he received the Holy Spirit and the improvements that it wrought in his spirituality.  Thus, the Holy Spirit indeed has the power of renewal.  Sister Chen's two-year-old niece was afflicted with kidney disease.  However, God granted her peace beyond all expectations.

Literary evangelism is a pressing concern.  It is our deep hope that the brothers and sisters share the same spirit in Christ, and continue to support the publication of Living Water.  Please pray more for this matter.
