Hallelujah! In the name of Jesus I testify.
Though my mother was baptized into
the Lord during her infancy, she married my father who was an atheist. Consequently I was brought up with no
knowledge of God.
In 1978, my mother had a stroke
and was paralyzed unilaterally. She was
bedridden at the hospital for about 6 months.
Each time we visited her, we thought in tears that she might have to
spend the rest of her life in a wheelchair. With physio
and medical therapy, she gradually learned to walk again.
Thanks to God's wonderful
arrangement, our cousins who are members of the True Jesus Church began to
preach and testify to us the miracles that have been performed in the
church.
In 1979, we decided to get
baptized into the True Jesus Church. For
the first time in my life, I began to ponder on the existence of God. As I was only 13 then, I did not really know
the meaning and purpose of baptism. All
I had hoped for was that through the water baptism, my mother would be healed.
Thanks to the grace of God He gave
me the precious Holy Spirit. I began to
truly believe in Him and experience His existence. Although my mother's illness is not
completely healed, I am sure it is God's will that this be so. With God all things are possible (Mt
19:26). If my mother did not have this
illness, we would not have become God's children. Moreover, my mother's
complete recovery
is not important. What is most important
is that we are baptized into the TrueChurch and have the hope
of eternal life, "For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God
is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord" (Rom 6:23).
May this short testimony edify
each and every one of us.
All glory be
to our Lord Jesus. Amen.
I will cut off the chariot from Ephraim and the
war horse from Jerusalem; and the battle bow shall be cut off, and he shall
command peace to the nations; his dominion shall be from sea to sea, and from
the River to the ends of the earth.
(Zech 9:10)
