Evangelism in School

I.       Why should you preach to your classmate?

A.     Listening to the wishes of Jesus Christ. (mk16:16) (Mt28:29)

B.     Listening to the words of Paul. (2Co5:14f)(1Co9:16f)

C.     Listening to the voices from hell. (Lk 16:24,27ff)

D.     Understanding that the reward is great. (Jn12:24-26) (1co15:58,41)

E.     Understanding that the chances to be with classmates is limited.(Ecc3:1)

F.      Understanding how terrible it is to go to hell after death. (Mk9:48)

II.    How do I preach in school?

A.     Learn from Andrew—come and see Jesus (Jn1:46)

1.        Send out an invitation.

2.        Send out fliers.

3.        Send out sermon tapes.

B.     Learn from Luke – study and introduce Jesus.(Lk1:3)

1.        How do you introduce Jesus and bible to others?

C.     Learn from Paul – defend truth. (Ac17:2)

1.        How do you prove that one needs to speak in tongue to prove the receiving of the Holy Spirit?

2.        How do you prove that Sabbath day is Saturday?

3.        How to baptize a person?

D.     Learn from Jesus.

1.        Jesus was “word” in flesh. We need to be well versed to preach the gospel. (Jn1:1ff)

2.        Jesus prayed constantly to obtain power of preaching. (Act1:8)

3.        Jesus used his love to attract people to come to Him. (Jn 12:32)

III. Others thing you can do.

A.     Praying for preaching all the time.

1.        Ask God who you should preach to. Ref: story of Lydia.

2.        Ask God how to approach. Ref: preaching of Philip.

3.        Ask God what to say to the person. Ref: Jesus knew the hearts of all men. Jesus preached according to each person’s need.

B.     Forming a fellowship to preach in school.

1.        Small version of Hosanna outreach in school.

2.        Example of UCLA fellowship.
