B.     2 Timothy 2

1.       The importance of training (2:1-7)

 a.      How can we find qualified believers to teach others?

 b.      How do you make yourself be qualified to serve the Lord?

 c.      Apostle Paul was a scholar and a noble man before converting to Christ. How did he understand the life of a soldier, athlete, and farmer?

 d.      Based on the life of a soldier, an athlete and a farmer, can you sum up the characteristics of the believer who is qualified to teach others?

2.       Remember Jesus Christ (2:8-13)

 a.      Jesus Christ was the descendant of David. Why is this statement so important to the apostle Paul and to us as well?

 b.      When you have a hard time serving the Lord, you feel frustrated. Why? And how do you overcome your frustration?

 c.      We live in the 21st century. Can you prove that God’s word is not chained?

 d.      After reading 2 Tim 2:9, can you fully understand what Paul means when he writes, “I fill up in my flesh what is lacking in the afflictions Christ” (Col 1:24)?

3.       A workman approved by God (2:14-23)

 a.      The epistles to Timothy frequently discuss issues related to godliness and ungodliness. Can you list what can lead to ungodliness according to what you have learned so far?

 b.      According to 2 Tim 2:19, how can you interpret ‘you confess and are saved (Rom 10:13)?

 c.      How can we be a noble vessel (instrument)?

 d.      How do we treat those who are weak?

C.     2 Timothy 3

1.       Terrible times in the last days (3:1-8)

 a.      How can we be true Christians?

 b.      How does Satan creep into our heart and seduce us into temptation?

 c.      Based on 2 Tim 3:6, 7, do you fully understand the true meaning “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God” (Mt 5:8)?

2.       Be convinced of what you learn (3:9-17)

 a.      How can we experience suffering and persecution for Jesus Christ today?

 b.      How can we be convinced of what we learn from the Bible?

 c.      How can we equip ourselves for every good work?

D.     2 Timothy 4

1.       Be diligent to preach the word (4:1-5)

 a.      For many years, True Jesus Church membership in the U.S. remains in the 2,000’s. Why is it that we cannot breakthrough 2,000?

 b.      What kind of mentality should we have when we preach the word to unbelievers?

2.       The most joyful moment has come (4:6-8)

 a.      Why did Paul consider departing from the world as the most joyful moment?

 b.      What kind of fight has Paul fought?

 c.      What kind of race has Paul finished?

 d.      What kind of faith has Paul kept?

3.       Paul’s personal remarks (4:9-22)

 a.      How do we know that Paul still read books and the Bible after he devoted himself to the Lord?

 b.      How do we choose good co-workers in the Lord for ministry?
