The History of the True Jesus Church Origin
The True Jesus Church was established in 1917 in Beijing, China. The early workers, having received the Holy Spirit and revelation of the true gospel, began preaching the truth of salvation by sending out missionaries and distributing gospel tracts to provinces throughout China. The power of God was manifested mightily through the presence of the Holy Spirit and through accompanying signs and miracles.
Development in Asia
In 1926, headquarters were established in Nanjing, China. Literary ministry was launched with the first issue of The Holy Spirit Times. The church headquarters were relocated to Shanghai in 1927. Periodic national conferences were held as needs arose. In the meantime, the church sent workers to neighboring countries and regions. The gospel spread to Taiwan in 1926 and rapidly to other parts of Asia and the Pacific: reaching Singapore in 1927, Sabah and West Malaysia the following year, Hong Kong (1929), Hawaii (1930), Indonesia (1939), Japan (1947), and Korea (1948). The Lord manifested His works wherever they traveled, and continued to add to their number those who were being saved.
Worldwide Mission
Following the Communist takeover in 1949, churches in China were greatly persecuted. Under the guidance of God, however, the church developed rapidly, becoming one of the largest Christian churches in Taiwan and growing throughout Asia. As members moved to other parts of the world, the seed of the gospel spread; the church was established in the U.S. in 1969, in Canada (1975), in the U.K. (1976), in Australia (1982), and in France (1983). In 1975, the urgent need for church coordination and world evangelism necessitated the formation of the International Assembly of the True Jesus Church. In 1985, the principal office of the International Assembly was relocated from Taiwan to Los Angeles, California in the United States.
Since that time, under the coordination of the International Assembly and through the support of the General Assemblies established in individual countries, the gospel truth has been planted in Africa, Central and South America, and Oceania. In 1995, God opened the door of salvation in Russia, former republic of the U.S.S.R, and the church was established in Moscow. With the Lord's continual grace and guidance, the True Jesus Church will continue to propagate the gospel to all corners of the world so that people of all races will come to accept the Lord Jesus Christ. Why "True" Jesus Church? - The God we worship is the True God; thus His church is the True Church.

- The True Church preaches the true and complete gospel, which is confirmed by the Holy Spirit, signs, and miracles.
