When we hear prayer requests, we are seeing fellow brethren in need along the road. How earnestly do we pray for them? How far out of our way are we willing to go to help them? We can either be part of the multitudes that pass them by, or be the few good Samaritans. Let us choose to have compassion.

Worship God in Spirit and in Truth

Our zeal for God in doing church work should not cause us to overlook our family commitments. In fact, providing for our family is part and parcel of doing God’s work. It is the starting point and the basis of godly service in the church: “for if a man does not know how to rule his own house, how will he take care of the church of God?” (1 Tim 3:5).
