Hundreds of years before Jesus’ birth, the prophet Isaiah prophesied that the Lord would give His people a sign, “Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a Son, and shall call His name Immanuel [God with us]” (Isa 7:14). Jesus’ birth was a miracle that indicated His divine origin. He was born of God, not from human parents through marriage. As such, Jesus Christ came to this world as the only sinless person who would ultimately lay down His life for the sins of humankind.
