I.       California Churches

A.     El MonteChurch

1.        1985-86 Church Board members:

Religious Affairs - James Wu, John Kim

2.        July 8-14, 1985 - General Spiritual Convocation and Evangelical Services.  The workers were Elders D.H. Jung, F.L. Lin and T.D. Lin, Pastors Derren Liang and John Lo. Thanks to the grace of our Lord, 9 people received water baptism, 8 received the Holy Spirit, 4 saw visions (glorious lights, Lord Jesus, Heavenly Kingdom), and 120 partook of Holy Communion.  Thanksgiving offering was $5,000.

B.     Garden GroveChurch

1.        Youth Spiritual Convocation, Evangelical Services, and General Spiritual Convocation.

 a.      December 24-30, 1984

The workers were Pastors Derren Liang, John Lo, and S.K. Yang.  The Youth Spiritual Convocation was divided into three classes attended by 90 people.  The main teachings and speakers were as follows: Pastor Derren Liang - Why Do We Learn the Truth Pastor John Lo - Standing Strong in the Tide Pastor S. K. Yang - Here We Stand


In this Convocation, 9 people received water baptism, 6 received the Holy Spirit before 12/23, and 6 received the Holy Spirit during the Convocation. 1 saw vision (glorious light), and 245 partook of the Holy Communion. Thanksgiving offering was $8,000.

 b.      June 24-30, 1985

The workers were Pastors Derren Liang, John Lo, and S.K. Yang, Elders D.H. Jung, F.L. Lin, and T.D. Lin. The Youth Spiritual Convocation was divided into three classes, attended by 60 people. The main teachings and speakers were as follows:

Pastor Derren Liang - Malachi

Pastor John Lo - Be a Valuable Youth

Pastor S.K. Yang - What Can I Do for the Lord?           

In this spiritual convocation, 200 partook of the Holy Communion, 17 people received water baptism, 3 received the Holy Spirit before 6/24, and 6 received the Holy Spirit during the Convocation. One saw a vision (glorious light). Thanksgiving offering was $10,000.          

 c.      December 23-29, 1985

The workers were Pastors Derren Liang, John Lo, and Elder D.H. Jung. The Youth Spiritual Convocation was divided into 3 classes. 100 youths attended, in which 17 youths came from Dallas, Houston, Pheonix, San Francisco, Toronto, and Wisconsin . The main teachings and speakers were as follows:

Pastor Derren Liang - HolyCity - New Jerusalem

Pastor John Lo - Christian Soldier

180 attended the Evangelical Services, and 261 attended the General Spiritual Convocation. 10 received water baptism. 3 saw visions of glorious lights. 11 received Holy Spirit. 234 partook of the Holy Communion. Thanksgiving offering was $12,370, one gold chain and one gold ring. in this spiritual meeting, most of the youths were moved by the love of God and made resolutions to live in the love of God. Many youths fasted together and prayed earnestly for those who were in infirmities. Even some elementary youths joined the fasting prayer. Their love moved the whole congregation.

3.        January 11-12, 1985 - E.C.C. Ministers Bible Conference. 9 Ministers and Pastors attended.

4.        Marriage Ceremonies in Garden GroveChurch:

1.        March 31, 1985 - Bro.  N.H. Chen and Sis.  Y.W. Lin

2.        January 1, 1986 -Bro.  M. Tang and Sis.  Sandy Huang

3.        Thanks to God for His wonderful arrangement, and may the Lord bless these new couples abundantly.

4.        November 28-30, 1985 - N.C.C. meeting. 20 delegates and six observers attended.

5.        Our beloved Sister Hsi-Hwei Lo, while peacefully sleeping, was called by the Lord on January 10, 1986 at about 3:00 a.m.

C.     San FranciscoChurch

1.        Church Dedication Ceremony and Spiritual Convocation at Pacifica - January 3-6, 1985.

2.        The workers were Pastors John Lo and S.K. Yang, Dn.  John Lin, and Elder John Wu. 117 people attended the Dedication Service. 80 partook of the Holy Communion.  Total offering was $2,478.40.

3.        Marriage Ceremony in San FranciscoChurch - Bro.  Raymond Kraszewski and Sis.  Shan-Shiao Lei on January 6, 1985.

4.        Spiritual Convocation - July 1-7, 1985 The workers were Elder F.L. Lin and Pastor Derren Liang. 2 were baptized, 2 received the Holy Spirit, 3 saw visions, and 68 partook of the Holy Communion.  Thanksgiving offering was $4,581.25.

5.        Spiritual Convocation and Evangelical Services - January 1-5, 1986.

6.                The workers were Pastor Derren Liang and Dn.  John Lin.  1 was baptized, 62 partook of the Holy Communion, and the thanksgiving offering was $1,693.50.

7.        1986 Church members:

II.    TorontoChurch in Canada

A.     First Youth Spiritual Convocation - August 29 to Seantember 1, 1985.  The workers were Pastors Derren Liang and S.K.Yang. 14 attended. 2 were moved by the Holy Spirit and 1 saw vision.

B.     The Sixth Annual Spiritual Convocation - November 8-10, 1985.  The workers were Dns.  John Lin and Paul Wong.  About 60 people attended.  I received the Holy Spirit.

C.     1986 Church Board members:

III. HawaiiChurch

A.     1986 newly elected Church Board members:

B.     February 11 - March 10, 1985, Pastor S.K. Yang was sent by E.C.C. to help in the Spiritual Convocation and also to help in pastoring and visiting work at HonoluluChurch and Maui Prayer House.

C.     June 9-15, 1985 - Youth Retreat and Spiritual Convocation.

John Lo and Paul Yang came from Malaysia, voluntarily, to help with this holy work. 40 partook of the Holy Communion.  Thanksgiving offering was $1,250.

IV.  Chicago Prayer House in Illinois

A.     January 26, 1985 Church Board members:

Financial Affairs - Henry B. Tsai

B.     Spiritual Convocation - August 16-18, 1985.  Pastor Derren Liang was sent by E.C.C. to help with the holy work.  I was baptized, 18 partook of the Holy Communion and thanksgiving offering was $1,930.

V.     Elizabeth Church in New Jersey

A.     December 29-30, 1984 - General Spiritual Convocation was held in New York Church District.  The workers were Pastor S.K. Yang, Dn.  Daniel Kau and Bro.  Percy Tsai. 3 received water baptism, and about 120 people partook of the Holy Communion.  Thanksgiving offering was $3,322.26.

B.     May 10-1 1, 1985 - Prior to the departure for England to help with the work in the Elgin Church which included Church Dedication and Spiritual Convocation, Pastor John Lo held special Evangelical Services in New York Church District and Elizabeth Church where 2 received the Holy Spirit.

C.     August 15-25, 1985 - Several Spiritual events, The workers were Pastors Derren Liang, John Lo, and S.K. Yang.

1.        National Youth Working Committee Seminar - Total of 26 attended.

2.        Youth Spiritual Convocation - Total of 40 attended.  There was 2 classes.

3.        Evangelical Services at New York Prayer House in Princeton, New Jersey Seaside District, and in the Chapel.

4.        General Spiritual Convocation - Approximately 150 people attended. 16 were baptized, 11 received the Holy Spirit, 4 experienced visions of glorious light, etc.  Thanksgiving offering was $5,954.

D.     Mid-January, 1986 - The members of the New York Church District have formally established a church in Queens, New York.  They are still in the process of purchasing the new Chapel.

F.      December 25-29, 1985 - Spiritual events.  The workers were Elder C.K. Hsieh, Dn.  Simon Hsu, and Pastor S.K. Yang.

1.        Preaching Seminar - 15 attended.

2.        Teachers Seminar – 11 attended.

3.        General Spiritual Convocation - 141 partook of the Holy Communion.  Thanksgiving offering was $5,127.50.

VI.  TexasChurch

A.     HoustonChurch

1.        1986 Church Board members

2.        August - Evangelical Services and Spiritual Convocation.  The workers were Elder D.H. Jung, Pastor Derren Liang, Dn. John Lin and Paul Wong. 4 received water baptism, 2 received the Holy Spirit, and 42 partook of the Holy Communion.  Thanksgiving offering was $1,600.

B.     Dallas Prayer House

1.        The members of the Dallas District have established a Prayer House and elected new Church Board members in April, 1985.

General Affairs - Andrew Chu

Financial Affairs - Gracie Gunther

2.        Now there are 29 members (about I I families), monthly offering is around $1,200 to $1,600.

3.        Evangelical Services - July 29-31, 1985.  The workers were Elder D.H. Jung and Pastor Derren Liang. 2 received the Holy Spirit.

VII.           General Assembly

A.     January 24 to march 19, 1985 - Dn.  John Shek and Pastor John Lo were sent by W.H.E.C. for evangelical and pastoral work in Nigeria and Liberia, Africa.

B.     February 20 - March 5, 1985, Dn.  Paul Wong was sent by W.H.E.C. for pasturing work in Brazil and Argentina in South America.  Thank God, 4 people received water baptism in Argentina.

C.     May 3, 1985 - Pastor S.K. Yang attended a 3-month Theological Training Seminar in Taiwan General Assembly, and returned to U.S. June 23, 1985.

D.     April 10-15, 1985 - Pastor John Lo and S.K. Yang represented U.S. churches at the 4th World Delegates Conference in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah; Dn.  Paul Wong, board member of LA., also attended this Conference.

E.     May 12-20, 1985 - Pastor John Lo was sent by W.H.E.C. to help with the holy work in Paris and the United Kingdom.

1.        May 12-15 - Spiritual Convocation, Evangelical Services and Church Dedication in Elgin, Scotland.  The highest attendance was about 400.  Total of 9 people received water baptism (infants). 8 received the Holy Spirit, 3 saw visions and 262 partook of the Holy Communion.  Thanksgiving offering was $12,700 sterling pounds.  There are 89 members in the ElginChurch.  They are in total mobilization and love God very much.  Services are held 4 times a week and the percentage of attendance is 90%-100%.  All 8 restaurants and Take Out Food Stores of church members were closed during the Church Dedication Services and the Spiritual Convocation.  Both the young and old served God with zeal.  Even mothers carrying their babies on their back worked for the Lord and warmly received church members. this was very inspiring.

During the Church Dedication Ceremony and Spiritual events, the love of God greatly inspired the whole congregation, many of them were moved to tears.

2.        May 16-17 - Visiting event in LeicesterChurch, New Castle.

3.        May 18-19 - Evangelical Services and special services were held in Paris, France, About 20 people attended.  I experienced a vision of glorious light and was moved by the Holy Spirit.

4.        May 18-20 - Spiritual Convocation for Sisters Fellowship was held in EdinburghChurch. 160 sisters attended.

5.        October 29 to November 17, 1985 - Pastors Derren Liang and S.K. Yang were sent by W.H.E.C. for pastoral and evangelical work in Liberia, Ghana, and Nigeria, Africa.  Pastor Liang went to London before October 29 to help the Spiritual Convocation and Evangelical Services.  Total of 4 people received water baptism, 4 received the Holy Spirit, one saw vision, and 84 partook of the Holy Communion.
