Every one of us has sinned against God (Rom 3:13). We have all failed to live according to His standards of righteousness: “There is none righteous, no not one…There is none who does good, no, not one†(Rom 3:10-13). Therefore we all need to be baptized in order to be cleansed of our sins and receive new life.
