The Discernment of the Spirits: Facing Today's Christianity
and other Secular Movements
I.
Prologue
"For false christs and false prophets will arise and show great signs
and wonders, so as to lead astray, if possible, even the elect." (Mt
24:24)
"Beware of false prophets,
who come to you in sheep's clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves. You will know them by their fruits. Are grapes gathered from thorns, or figs from
thistles?" (Mt 7:15-16)
"And no wonder, for even
Satan disguises himself as an angel of light.
So it is not strange if his servants also disguise themselves as
servants of righteousness. Their end
will correspond to their deeds." (2 Cor
11:14-15)
·
The differences in essence result in the
differences in external manifestation.
Since God's spirit differs in essence from Satan's spirit, they also
differ in their manifestation.
