The worker who administers the sacrament represents the Lord Jesus; this duty is thus generally delegated to church ministers who have been ordained to serve (such as elders, deacons, and preachers). If no ordained worker is present, however, every brother or sister who has been baptized, has received the Holy Spirit, and leads a godly life may perform the washing of feet.
