Jesus died for the sins of the whole world (1 Jn 2:2). He was delivered to die on a tree for our sins (1 Pet 2:24), and becoming a curse for us (Gal 3:13–14). Isaiah clearly prophesied, “Surely he has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; yet we esteemed him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that made us whole, and by his stripes we are healed†(Isa 53:4–5). While the Bible is often directed towards God’s people Israel and the Jews, the Bible makes it clear Jesus died to save the whole world of sinners, which includes everyone. Jesus’ death is intimately related to every person’s salvation. So let us humbly accept Jesus as our personal Savior.
