Case study:
All of Kayla’s friends consider
her a very gentle, almost shy person. Kayla is also very quiet at church,
hardly getting people to notice her. Yet, recently, she began to experience
difficulty with one of her most important classes in school. If she does not
make a good grade in this class, she will not be able to meet the requirements
of the graduate school that she planned to apply. Her father is also having
some serious health problems. Kayla finds it harder and harder to pray to God.
She can’t understand why these things are happening to her. She begins to have
difficulty sleeping, causing her to be very irritable during the day. As a
result, Kayla would lash out at her family members and sometimes with her close
friends. How can Kayla regain peace with God, with herself, and with others?
