The Spirit Who Lives in Us
God promised many times through
the prophets that he would pour out the Holy Spirit on the believers, to live
in their hearts. "And I will put my Spirit in you and move you to follow
my decrees and be careful to keep my laws" (Ezekiel 36:27 NIV).
Our Lord Jesus himself promised
that the Holy Spirit would come and live in them permanently. "And I will
pray the Father, and he will give you another Counselor, to be with you for
ever, even the Spirit of truth... you know him, for he dwells with you, and
will be in you. I will not leave you desolate; I will come to you" (John -18).
