Why do people pray?

Not by Bread Alone
Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God. —Matthew 4:4

Why Complain?
Do all things without complaining and disputing, that you may become blameless and harmless children of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world. —Philippians 2:14-15

Why We Marry
What is the purpose of God's will in your marriage? Does your spouse help you grow spiritually?

Do Not Fear
Take heed, and be quiet; do not fear or be fainthearted for these two stubs of smoking firebrands, for the fierce anger of Rezin and Syria, and the son of Remaliah. —Isaiah 7:4

The Lord Jesus is the author of salvation, not the church, so if I don't go to church, as long as I believe in the Lord Jesus and follow the correct path to salvation, won't I be saved?

Aren't we saved the moment we believe and confess Christ (Romans 10:9-10; Ephesians 1:13)? Sacraments are only symbolic of the salvation we have already received. They do not have any saving effect.

The apostle Paul stresses that Abraham was justified before circumcision, not after (Romans 4:10-12). Circumcision was only a sign of the righteousness he had already received by faith. Aren't sacraments likewise only signs, with no effect?

You say salvation is by grace, but aren't there any conditions to us receiving grace?

Can you give me biblical proof for the need to be baptized?
